Investigation of the techniques, materials, and expressive potential of watercolor painting. Hands-on experience with brushwork, washes, color mixing, and layering of transparent color. Development of observational skills, compositional strategies, and personal artistic expression. Discussion of historical and contemporary watercolor practices.
