Catalog description
Fundamental principles of physics, using algebra and trigonometry; the principles and applications of classical mechanics and thermodynamics, including harmonic motion, mechanical waves and sound, physical systems, Newton’s Laws of Motion, and gravitation and other fundamental forces; with emphasis on problem solving. Laboratory activities will reinforce the concepts of the material covered in the lecture. This lecture and lab course should combine all the elements of PHYS 1301 (lecture) and PHYS 1101 (lab), including the learning outcomes listed for both courses. Prerequisite(s): MATH 1314 College Algebra or equivalent
