Catalog description

This course builds upon the information presented in earlier courses such as anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, differential diagnosis, clinical neurology, and clinical orthopedics. This course further develops student skills in performing orthopedic evaluations, assessments, and interventions with emphasis in palpation, joint ROM, mobilization techniques, and clinical diagnosis. This course will help students develop the ability to identify when joint mobilization is appropriate, identify various contraindications to manipulation, and teach students how to apply these skills across a spectrum of progressions and regressions in treatment and assessment. This course will also emphasize the development of observation, patient interaction, examination, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
