Catalog description

This course introduces students to proper orthopedic examination procedures and test for the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine, pelvis, hip, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, knee, ankle and foot. Orthopedic assessments of plexopathies, thoracic outlet, and nerve tension signs are also taught and assessed. It also presents an organized system for approaching musculoskeletal disorders and introduces students to the necessity of differentially diagnosing between musculoskeletal disorders and visceral disease processes.Prerequisite(s): Gross Anatomy I, Clinical Biomechanics / Palpation
