Catalog description

This course will focus on the rationale and the safe application of passive physiotherapy modalities by utilizing an evidence based systematic approach for selected conditions that may present to a chiropractic office. The following modalities will be addressed as possible adjunctive procedures to the chiropractic adjustment: Low Level Laser Class 3b, Spinal Traction, IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization), Shockwave, Taping, and Cupping. The course also covers an explanation of the underlying physics of each modality and instructs the student in static and dynamic neuromuscular relationships. Prerequisite: Physiotherapy I
