Analysis & Adjusting Technique III

Catalog description

This class is the continuation of the analysis & adjusting technique course work and focuses on more advanced set-ups and transition areas of the spine. This course is designed to assist students in developing assessment, psychomotor, and reassessment skills for High-Velocity Low-Amplitude techniques (HVLA), soft tissue, and manual therapies. The course covers the diverseness of HVLA techniques related to structural and/or full spine functional findings. It consists of lab and lecture components with the greatest emphasis being placed on core skills acquisition necessary for the students to continue developing their adjusting competency. Students will continue to learn to recognize presentations of selected common and serious clinical conditions. Students will use the best evidence to continue to develop differential diagnoses and determine the appropriateness of associated chiropractic care, as well as possible complications arising from, and contraindications to, HVLA adjusting.Prerequisite(s): Analysis & Adjusting Technique I, Analysis & Adjusting Technique II
