This course provides an in-depth introduction to key concepts in chemistry, cell biology, human physiology, and physics, essential for biomedical sciences. In physics, students will explore biomechanics, forces, torque, fluid dynamics, and electromagnetism. In cell biology, students will study cellular organelles, membrane transport, and molecular signaling. Human physiology will emphasize homeostasis, endocrine feedback mechanisms, neurophysiology, and cardiovascular function. Chemistry and Biochemistry topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding, acid-base equilibria, functional groups, redox reactions, and the role of macro and micronutrients in human health. The course promotes the integration of core concepts across modules and medical terminology into clinically relevant contexts to prepare students for advanced biomedical health and related fields.
