Catalog description

This course explores the general concepts, methods, and applications of microbiology. Course topics include the history of microbiology, the morphology, physiology and metabolism of microbes, and methods of physical and chemical control. Special attention will be given to understanding the pivotal roles microorganisms play in the environment, human health, and food production.
