Catalog description

This course provides an examination of alternative funding sources for community and nonprofit services, and the optimal mix of funding sources for a given service and clientele. A variety of fundraising methods are reviewed, as well as organizational characteristics and capabilities which contribute to successful fundraising. Attention is given to non-monetary resources such as in-kind contributions of goods and services, and cooperative ventures. Note: Two-credit offering only for those students operating under a previous degree plan requiring two (2) credits for this course.
