Catalog description

This course reviews the role and functions of the philanthropic and nonprofit sector, including history and trends in the field, and the legal and regulatory environment. The relationship of the nonprofit sector to the public and business sectors is examined, with attention to the related role of public and for-profit entities in delivering community services. Note: PA543 may only be taken by students operating under a previous degree plan or taking it as an elective for the Nonprofit Leadership, Graduate Certificate . Certificate students should contact their advisor before enrolling in this course.
