The Environment of Public Organizations

Catalog description

This course provides a study of the inter-relationships between public organizations and their internal and external environment, including its global dimensions. The environments will also be analyzed as the framework for the demands and supports facing public organizations, with special emphasis on ideas of citizen participation, inter-governmental relations and political influence. The mutual relationships between politics and administration will be stressed, including issues of contracting out and privatization. Fulfills: 4+1
