Catalog description

In this course, teacher candidates will learn principles of second language acquisition and characteristics of dialects to promote content-area learning and academic-language development for English language learners (ELL) and students who are culturally diverse in grade K-12 classrooms. Particular attention will be given to methods and strategies for planning, implementing and assessing effective instruction for ELL and students who are culturally diverse. Fulfills: 4+1
