Catalog description

A history of culture, social, economic and historical aspects of California from the pre-Columbian period to the present with an emphasis on the period since statehood in 1850. This course emphasized the historiography of California (past and present historical writings about California.) There will also be a brief examination of California literature and art throughout history.
