Catalog description

This course continues the series and provides students with the instruction and skills necessary to provide complete dental care from assessment through treatment, for patients with urgent and emergent oral health issues; chronic or acute orofacial pain; neurosensory, chemosensory or movement disorders; or oral problems caused by treatment of cancer. The course will provide students with the foundational knowledge to diagnose the common disorders of orofacial region by clinical examination and the use of adjunctive assessments as may be required, and the medical management of orofacial disorders, including the need for referral.
