Catalog description

This second lecture course is designed to give the basic knowledge and clinical skills necessary for the management of pediatric patient needs. This will include treatment planning and case presentation pertinent to dentistry for children, pediatric oral radiology, operative dentistry, preventive techniques and theories, pulp therapy, and an overview of what to expect when encountering the personality of the child patient. The course will also cover space management, oral trauma, pediatric endodontics and oral surgery, and emergency management. Clinical techniques for treating pediatric patients will be covered in SDM 619. 134 | School of Dental Medicine
