Geriatric Dentistry

Catalog description

This course will provide content on physical, psychological, and medical disorders/diseases associated with aging and strategies for the delivery of oral health care and the management of older adult dental patients presenting to the dental office. The course includes discussion of oral hygiene strategies, sensory changes, general health, and behavioral management of older adult patients with special needs and cognitively impaired older adults.
