Catalog description

Interprofessional Practice & Education (IPE) is a critical element for preparing health profession students for collaboration in today’s complex healthcare environment. As patients’ biopsychosocial needs grow more multifaceted, teamwork across various health disciplines becomes essential to delivering safe, high-quality, and patient-centered care. Research consistently demonstrates that interprofessional collaboration enhances patient outcomes and reduces healthcare errors. Through this course, students from diverse health disciplines will learn from, with, and about each other, developing the communication and teamwork skills necessary for coordinated, whole-person care to enhance their ability to work effectively in team-based healthcare settings.
