Catalog description

The course integrates foundational biological principles with evidence-based clinical approaches to caries detection, diagnosis, prevention, and management. Students will learn how biofilm, diet, saliva, and host factors influence disease progression, and how to use caries risk assessment to guide personalized, minimally invasive management strategies. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking, prevention-focused care, and the application of current research to clinical decision-making.
