Catalog description

This course will provide information on how to professionally communicate health-related information to targeted audiences such as members of the healthcare team, families, and the patient. Topics that will be explored include healthcare team or interprofessional communication, patient-provider communication, interpreters and translators, verbal and non-verbal messaging, multicultural communication, multigenerational communication, conflict resolution, delivery of life & death news, behavior change, social media and telehealth use, and charting electronic records. Admittance to MBS program or permission of the MBS director is required.
