Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the applications of mathematics across a variety of disciplines, helping them see mathematics as a useful tool rather than just a requirement for obtaining a college diploma. Topics include the history of mathematics, numeration and numerical systems, number theory, chaos, fractals, and finances. Prerequisite: MA 050 or placement via entrance test score.
