Algebra Review for STEM

Catalog description

A review of algebra for STEM-related degrees will be covered to prepare the student for collegiate-level math courses. No credit is earned toward a degree. Developmental courses may have an additional fee. Prerequisite: placement in this developmental course is based on entrance testing or successful completion of MA 040. MA Bridge Math Bridge (0) This course is designed to help students gain the skills and confidence needed for success in college- level mathematics and consequently improve their math placement scores. This is an on-campus, in-person, two-week class that will combine computerized learning through customized modules with instructions from expert math instructors and peer tutors to help students better understand core math concepts and overcome anxiety about math. In addition to math instruction and skill development, students will be introduced to various campus resources and will have the chance to get to know their peers, which in turn will help build a strong foundation for success at PNWCC. No credit is earned toward a degree. Math Lab (0) This service is offered weekly for students requiring assistance in math for any course. This course may be required for students placed on academic warning or probation. No credit is earned toward a degree.
