Catalog description

An introductory study of significant developments in American history, literature, religion, philosophy, art, and music. Special attention is given to important people and movements that both shaped and were shaped by intellectual and cultural forces in America’s past. The first semester will cover events up to the Civil War era (1875) and the second semester from the post-Civil War era to the present.
