Jesus in the Biblical Story

This course introduces the Story of the Bible, which finds its fulfillment in Jesus of Nazareth. The course falls into two sections. In the first, students discover how the Hebrew Bible (aka the Old Testament) tells one coherent story that leaves us longing for resolution. In the second, students encounter Jesus as the one who brings that epic story to a surprising ending. By Looking at the Gospel of Mark, students learn how Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection resolve the great conflict of the biblical story. This course is required for all students pursuing an AA in General Studies.
