Introduction to Health Sciences.

Catalog description

This course presents information about various Health Sciences professions and Inter-Professional Practice (IPP). Topics include an introduction to the scope of practice, educational and licensure requirements, career opportunities, evidence-based practice, social determinants of health, ethical and legal mandates, and interpersonal communication on collaborative teams in these healthcare professions. Degrees in most of these healthcare professions are offered through graduate programs at the University of the Pacific. Open to all undergraduate students. No prerequisite courses are required.
