Treatment Considerations Across the Lifespan II.

Catalog description

This course provides an overview of human growth and development across the second three stages of the lifespan, adulthood, middle age, older age. Using developmental theories across the second three stages of the lifespan, students cultivate an appreciation for evidence-based practice by learning to locate, select, analyze, and evaluate scholarly literature to formulate occupation-based care plans. Includes ethical and leadership considerations for the population/group. This course provides students with procedural knowledge about human development to further develop clinical reasoning skills to prepare students for entry-level practice. Prerequisite: Admission into the Doctor of Occupational Therapy Program and successful completion of previous trimester coursework.
