Catalog description

Film and media are both an art form and a global industry. To be successful in today’s film and media landscape, students need to understand how projects are developed, financed, produced, and distributed across multiple platforms. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the industry environment in which film and media productions take shape. Students will explore the role of the producer, examine strategies for bringing projects from concept to screen, and gain insight into the evolving practices that shape contemporary film and media.
