Catalog description

This course delves into the fundamentals of animation, focusing on essential principles such as squash and stretch, timing, and spacing. Students will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard software, developing skills in character design, storyboarding, and sound integration. The coursework culminates in a polished short animation project. Through a mix of lectures, demonstrations, and project-based assignments, students will build the technical skills and creative problem-solving abilities necessary to produce engaging animation. Prerequisites: ARTS 005 or MPRO 003 or MPRO 005 or MPRO 009 or ARTS 010 , or instructor's permission.
