Catalog description

This course explores the creation of visual artwork for use in publication and mass media. Students will develop technical skills and creative approaches through practical assignments in various fields of illustration, including advertising, editorial, scientific, and book illustration. Emphasizing both historical context and contemporary practice, the course prepares students to apply their illustrative work in professional and artistic contexts. Prerequisites: ARTS 005 or MPRO 003 or permission of the instructor.
