Catalog description

Explore the principles and practice of time-based visual communication. Students animate type and imagery using keyframing, timing, easing, and compositing while developing workflows for concepting, storyboarding, styleframes, layered builds, audio integration, and delivery for social, web, and broadcast. Emphasis is on clarity of message, typographic hierarchy in motion, pacing and rhythm, accessibility (legibility, captioning, safe color), and professional polish from brief to final render. Coursework uses industry-standard tools and disciplined file management, with iterative critiques that build technical fluency and creative intent. Prerequisite: ARTS 010 or permission of instructor.
