Catalog description

What does it mean to be "a man"? What kinds of masculinities exist and how do they shape (and are shaped by) feminist movements, governance, sociocultural and political changes, popular culture, media, and more? Special attention may be paid to topics like the HIV/AIDS pandemic of the 1980s and 1990s and the concurrent dehumanization of gay men; race and masculinity; queer and trans masculinities; and the relationship between masculinities and policymaking.
