Catalog description

This course allows students in the dual certification Childhood and Early Childhood Education Program (Program Code: CECE) to meet student teaching requirements for early childhood and childhood education. Candidates develop and demonstrate skills in planning, instructing, and assessing early childhood/childhood students to meet the needs of all learners while under the guidance of early childhood/childhood mentors and university-based clinical supervisors. This course will provide candidates with the opportunity to demonstrate evidence of competency for teaching practice in early childhood/childhood classrooms as required by New York State. Students will be placed in 1st or 2nd grade for a full-time student teaching experience.
