Mathematic Methods: An Integrated Approach, Birth-Grade 6

Catalog description

This course emphasizes approaches to teaching and assessing integrated mathematics and technology curricula that meet New York State learning standards from birth to grade 6. You will investigate how children construct meaning and learn mathematics, and what composes the mathematics curriculum. They will focus on ways to develop children's abilities and skills in numeration, calculation, mathematical reasoning, geometry, rational numbers, problem-solving, and communicating mathematically in real life situations. This course will include methods of enrichment and remediation.
