Fieldwork I: Field Experiences in Childhood Settings

Catalog description

This fieldwork provides teaching candidates with the opportunity to observe and practice childhood teaching skills appropriate for students with diverse needs and levels of literacy and English language acquisition alongside their coursework in curriculum, instruction, and assessment methods. Observations and initial practice, occurring one day per week, will be guided by a school-based mentor and a university-based clinical supervisor who facilitates the connection of the fieldwork experience to theories, research, and methods in concurrent coursework. Restrictions/Requirements: Must be co-registered for appropriate TCH coursework during fall semester of junior year.
