Catalog description

This course provides students with a wide variety of learning theories and instructional strategies to understand and meet the needs of all students. Students will demonstrate understanding of learning theories and of curriculum design models to enable all students to be successful learners. Students will apply learning theories, research, and curriculum design principles and practices to translate standards into big ideas, assessment tasks, and learning activities in lesson and unit planning. Students will demonstrate proficiency in developmentally appropriate teaching methods, such as lecture, questioning, and cooperative learning.
