Clinical Practicum in Speech Pathology I

Catalog description

Students will conduct speech-language therapy in a supervised clinical environment. Students will learn to determine goals, write lesson plans, and develop appropriate intervention methods including the use of instrumentation as a therapeutic tool. Includes a two-hour weekly seminar where self-assessment through the use of videotapes is emphasized. Five hours of observation followed by 25 hours of direct client contact. Restriction/Requirement: Junior standing and a minimum CQPA of 2.70 pre-req or permission of Instructor
