Catalog description
The acquisition of language from birth through age 5. Phonologic, semantic, syntactic, and pragmatic development in normal children will be studied. Assignments will be individualized according to the student's major. Speech pathology majors will videotape and do an in-depth analysis of a preschool child's language sample. Non-majors will be given projects to introduce them to atypical development and second language acquisition. Restrictions/Requirements:
