Field Study in Argentina

Catalog description

This course will prepare the student for an intensive 9-day cultural excursion to Argentina and Chile. The student will be given a required reading list that includes selections on the two nation's history, literature, art, music and present day social and political realities. These readings will provide an academic backdrop that will enhance the student's cultural experience abroad. There will be a pre-trip orientation, date to be announced. The itinerary includes five days in Buenos Aires and three days in Santiago. The students will visit museums, theatres, restaurants, gaucho ranches, vineyards and other places of cultural interests. Course conducted in English.
