This course highlights how rights and licensing work in the world of publishing and details the different types of rights and the approaches needed to make deals. Focus will include the benefits of rights licensing: promotion, protection, and profit. Students who complete the course will be familiar with the vocabulary, process, and legal/business frameworks associated with rights licensing.
