Catalog description

This is an introductory course on the history, theory, and practice of expressive art therapies. Students will be introduced to art, music, dance, and drama therapies, through lecture/discussion, and firsthand experience. Students will be required to dance, sing, make art, make drama, and write poetry even though you may not consider yourself an artist, as singer, a dancer, musician, or poet. You will learn though your experiences of the creative arts therapy forms. Students will explore and work with a variety of materials and media and present their creative work to the class.
