Catalog description

This course explores the theoretical underpinnings and empirical applications of Russian foreign policy from the collapse of the Soviet Union to the present period, with special attention dedicated to the ongoing war in Ukraine. As such, this is a course that examines the reemergence of a regional hegemon in a multipolar and multilateral world. Given the three decades under study, the subject matter will include studies in International Relations, Comparative Politics, Comparative Historical Analysis, and Russian socio-political history.
