Catalog description

This course will provide an introduction to the institutions and organizations that structure, regulate and govern international political, economic, social, cultural and humanitarian affairs. Students will learn about the political issues and dilemmas in creating international organizations and in how they address common problems. Examples of international organizations might include: The United Nations, The European Union, other regional organizations such as the African Union, the World Bank, IMF, as well as looking at non-governmental organizations, transnational advocacy networks and multinational businesses.
