Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the history of costumes, architecture, interiors, and decoration from Prehistory to Jacobean period. This course is both lecture and discussion formatted. The discussions include how the clothing, interiors, architecture and decor were developed both aesthetically and technically. The students design costumes or scenery for a play of their choice in any period covered in this course.
