Directing Actors/Acting Directors on Camera

Catalog description

For Directors and other filmmaking professionals, effective communication and the understanding of acting for the camera is imperative. In this course, basic exploration of acting fundamentals will be learned along with different on-camera acting techniques. Proper communication between Directors and Actors will be practiced. As in many film and television projects, students will work with the added challenge of heightened emotional and non-sequential storytelling. Students will do class exercises and assignments so both Actors and Directors will better understand the needs of the roles.
