Ethical Choices and Legal Context for the Advanced Practice Nurse

Catalog description

This course prepares advanced practice nurses with the knowledge and skills to lead and collaborate with the interprofessional team to support ethical and legal health care practices. Legal and ethical decision-making with reference to research and best practice issues, access to health care, and a person-centered approach is examined. Students will analyze ethical and legal cases, which impact political, organizational, social, cultural, and financial factors that create challenges in the delivery of evidence-based, equitable, person-centered, primary health care.
