Advanced Nursing in Primary Health Care

Catalog description

This course empowers students to gain the foundational knowledge of primary health care and population health. The emphasis is on developing an evidence-based, equitable, person-centered understanding to inform current perspectives of primary health care, including epidemiology, health care policy, advocacy, and technology. Students will gain an appreciation for how the social determinants of health impact the delivery and outcomes of primary health care. They will examine strategies to manage population health across diverse settings.
