Catalog description
This course explores the nursing leadership role in teaching and learning in the academic setting. It studies the historical development of nursing’s role in teaching and learning, its integration into curriculum, the use of technology, and the evaluation of learning outcomes. This course also focuses on topics related to teaching and learning including cultural competence, teaching/learning philosophy and theory, and evidence-based data related to teaching and learning. It explores the meaning of the faculty role on a tenure or non tenure track position and the relationship with teaching, research, and service. Legal and ethical implications for teaching and learning are reviewed.Restrictions/Requirements: listed prereq or Master's Degree in Nursing.
