Family Nurse Practitioner Practicum II

Catalog description
The practicum builds upon the student's proficiency in comprehensive health evaluation across the lifespan within the context of family, community, and culture. Using an evidence-based practice framework the student will apply health promotion, disease prevention and screening recommendations, and assess and mange most common acute chronic illnesses. Students will demonstrate knowledge of advanced pathophysiology, and pharmacologic interventions according to current standards of care across the lifespan in health care clinical settings while learning the family nurse practitioner's role and responsibilities in the provision of patient centered, ethical, culturally competent care. Restriction/Requirement:Health clearance required.
