Catalog description
This course is designed to assist the student to gain proficiency in clinical and diagnostic reasoning to provide comprehensive mental health care across the lifespan. Using an evidence-based, equitable, person-centered, primary health care framework, the student will apply the knowledge and skills of psychopathology to health promotion and psychiatric assessment. This skill set will enable the student to formulate and prioritize differential diagnoses for patients with psychiatric and substance use disorders consistent with advanced practice nursing.
