Diagnostic Reasoning for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners

Catalog description

This course is designed to assist the student to gain proficiency in clinical and diagnostic reasoning in the adult and older adult population. Using an evidence-based, equitable, person-centered, primary health care framework, the student will expand their knowledge and skills in focused history taking and physical assessment, diagnostic study interpretation, health promotion/disease prevention planning, and appropriate documentation. This skill set will enable the student to formulate and prioritize differential diagnoses consistent with advanced practice nursing.
