Fundamentals of Music for Stage Managers

Catalog description

Designed for those who have had little previous musical training, this course is a study of the building blocks of music and its role in the world of the performing arts. Students will learn basic music notation and music theory; the inner workings of the orchestra, music directors and score reading. Students will take the music skills they have learned and apply those skills in real theatrical settings as a theatre professional would behind the scenes as a stage manager, designer, music director, and much more.
